The Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Seattle (SYMC – Seattle) is open to people of all ages who wish to engage in the Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, service, and giving. Rooted in the wisdom of India’s ancient sages, Siddha Yoga welcomes people of all faiths and cultures, teaching that divinity lies within each human being.

We warmly invite you to chant and meditate from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. every Friday.
We also invite you to join us for the Shri Guru Gita chant on Saturdays from
8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at our new temporary location.

The Siddha Yoga path is one of inner transformation, based on the study and implementation of the timeless teachings of the Siddha Yoga Gurus and enlivened by the grace of Siddha Master Gurumayi Chidvilasananda.

Meditation Sessions via Live Audio Stream 2017

Session VII: Become a Student of Your Own Practice

Saturday, September 23, at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time

Throughout the year, we have had the extraordinary opportunity to deepen our understanding and practice of Gurumayi’s Message for 2017 by participating in this year’s Siddha Yoga Meditation Sessions via Live Audio Stream.

The culminating Meditation Session VII will be streamed live from Gurudev Siddha Peeth, the Siddha Yoga Ashram in India, at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Saturday, September 23..

In this session, titled Become a Student of Your Own Practice, participants will reflect on what they have learned from their meditation practice and their study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2017. The Siddha Yoga meditation teacher for this session is Rashi Choudhury.

This series of meditation sessions is a perfect preparation for the upcoming Global Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive 2017 in honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi.

These meditation sessions are designed for seekers new to the Siddha Yoga path, as well as experienced Siddha Yoga meditation practitioners.

We will participate in this meditation session from the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Seattle, together with the global sangham in the Universal Hall, at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Saturday, September 23.

You may also participate online through the Siddha Yoga path website. After the conclusion of the live audio stream, this event will become available as an audio webcast.

Bring any materials that will support you to establish a comfortable meditation posture, including your asana, a folded blanket, and/or a couple of small flat cushions. Please remember to bring your journal and a pen.

Preparation for the Shaktipat Intensive

The Global Siddha Yoga Shaktipat Intensive for 2017 in honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi will be held in the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Seattle on Saturday, October 21.

The title of the Shaktipat Intensive for 2017 is

The Five Acts of Lord Shiva

To prepare our minds and bodies for the Shaktipat Intensive, the Siddha Yoga Meditation Center in Seattle will hold the Preparation for the Intensive on Friday, September 29 at 7:30 p.m.

In this event, Siddha Yoga meditation teachers Swami Kripananda and Meera Laube guide participants in practicing the four wheels of the Shaktipat Intensive: posture, breath, mantra, and meditation.

You may also participate in this preparation event via webcast on the Siddha Yoga path website. Here you will also find more ways you can prepare to participate in the Shaktipat Intensive.

Registration is not required for this event.

Our friendly, supportive stack of blankets and pillows has gone into storage. When you come to our temporary location, please bring your own pillows and blankets. Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Church has plenty of comfortable chairs available to us.

Amrit will be taking a pause until further notice.
